Want To Pursue CA or CS after completing 12th Commerce? Read This!

You might have completed your 12th standard recently and you are confused what should you do after your 12th class specifically after taking Commerce as your stream.

1. Chartered Accountant (CA)




If you pursue Commerce as your stream lot of people will tell you to do CA & they are not wrong until you have interest in that field. CA is very highly reputed course in India.

Scope

There is a wide variety of scope if you pursue CA as your career option. You can find a job or you can practice yourself also. You will also earn well but overall it all depends on your skillset. 

Earning - 6 to 8 Lakhs per annum (Average)

Difficulty Level 

The level of difficulty in CA is very tough. A student needs a lot of hard work and determination to qualify as a CA. So if you really have strong interest in Commerce field and you love studying about Tax, Finance, Accounting, Company Laws, etc. then only go for it otherwise you will be wasting your time in it.


Passing Percentage 

In the CA intermediate exam, the pass percentage in group 1 is 29.11%, and in group 2 is 22.2%. In both groups, 10.49% of students have passed. In the CA intermediate IPC exam, the pass percentage in group 1 is 4.34% and in group 2 is 30.13%. The pass percentage in both groups is 0.66%.


Duration 

The minimum duration of the Chartered Accountancy Course for a person joining after Class 12th is 4.5 years. The minimum duration of the Chartered Accountancy Course for a person joining after Graduation is 3 years.


2. Company Secretary (CS)



The Company Secretary Course is very similar to CA course it also a very tough course. This is also one of the most reputable career in India.

Scope

The scope after your pursue Company Secretary as your career is a lot. You can get a job in a firm after doing CS or you can practice yourself by opening your own firm. But it all depends on your skills and application of knowledge.

Earning -  4 to 6 Lakhs per annum (Average)


Difficultly Level

The difficulty level of CS is really tough but slightly easy when compared to CA. You have to really study hard in order to qualify as an CS.

Till now we have talked about what all you need to qualify for CA or CS, but now we will talk about how this courses are going to affect our lives both in a positive and negative ways. So both these courses take an average time of 5 years to qualify and especially when we are in our 20's this time is very precious and important for our future. 


If you consider this courses to make your future then these are great but you need to explore yourself first. Like do you really have strong interest in fields like Accountancy, Laws, Taxation,  Secretarial Practice, etc. or you are doing this just because you will earn a lot of money. 

Having money as a goal is not wrong because everyone wants to be rich but having only money as a goal is wrong. You need to find yourselves such a thing that you love to do or you have interest in it. Because if you are pursuing this courses just because you want to earn a lot of money than you will not be able to clear this courses.
