In previous years many great mind-blowing web series has been launched. I’ll be suggesting you guys some web series based on Satire to Action Crime Thriller to Documentaries which you can watch in 2022.

1. The Witcher

The Witcher Season 2 was launched on 20 December 2019 on the Netflix. It is a story of Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter who constantly struggles to find his place in a world in which people are often proved to be more wicked than beasts. The season 2 of this series has been also launched on 17 December 2021.

2. Family Man

It is a story of Shrikant Tiwari, an Undercover TASC agent who tries to manage his personal family life and his professional life. As being an undercover agent, he has to fight with the terrorists and solve very intense issues created because of the terrorism in India. This series was released on Amazon Prime on 4 June 2021.

3. Squid Game

This amazing web series was released on 17 September 2021 on streaming giant Netflix. Its story revolves around how some 456 random participants selected for this game has to constantly fight with the difficult levels and problems to win a huge cash prize of $456,000.

4. Money Heist : From Tokyo To Berlin

Money Heist season 5 was released on 3 September 2021 on Netflix. It was a continuation of the previous seasons of Money Heist. It has a total of 10 episodes. Its story revolves around when Alicia Sierra takes advantage of fallout of the Professor’s team due to death of Tokyo to arrest the Professor but ends up teaming up with Professor due to her rivalry with Colonel Tamayo.

5. House of Secrets (The Burari Deaths)

House of Secrets is a documentary-series related to the horrific event which happened on 1 July 2018 when 11 members of a Chundawat family in Delhi were found dead in their house. The reason of their suicide is still a mystery. It was released on 8 October 2021 on Netflix and It has a total of 3 episodes.

6. Arcane

Arcane is an animated web series inspired from the video game League of Legends. The story follows the escalating unrest between the rich, utopian city of Piltover and seedy, oppressed undercity of Zaun, Jinx and Sisters Vi find themselves on the side of opposition of a brewing war over clashing convictions and arcane technologies. The first episode of Arcane was released on 6 November 2021 on Netflix.

7. Kota Factory

Kota factory is a story of a Vaibhav who is preparing for JEE so that he could crack into India’s one of the most prestigious collages IIT. In season 2, Vaibhav moves from Prodigy to Maheshwari Coaching Institute and meets a new friend Sushrut. Both students face constant problems and struggles in their way to crack JEE Examination. It was released on June 7 2021 on Netflix.

8. Aspirants

Aspirants is an amazing web series which shows us how Abhilash and his 2 friends prepares for one of the toughest examinations in the world, UPSC so that they can achieve their dream of becoming an IAS. To achieve their dream, they had to go through many hardships. This was produced by The Viral Fiver (TVF) and released on YouTube for free on 7 April 2021.

9. Rick And Morty

It is a story of Rick who is an alcoholic, sociopath and a scientist live with the family of his daughter Beth. Apart from inventing and building gadgets, he takes his morally right but dimwit grandson on some absurd intergalactic adventures. The first episode of season 5 was released on 20 June 2021 on Netflix.

10. Hellbound

Hellbound is a Korean Dark fantasy/ Drama-Thriller series in which some alien-type creatures lands on earth and takes away some people into the hell. The message which is conveyed through this series is how the religious beliefs of people are changed and because of that how a human being itself becomes a monster. Hellbound series was released on 19 November 2021 on Netflix. It has a total of 6 episodes.

11. Cobra Kai

This season’s story finds the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang Dojos who joins the forces to take down Cobra Kai at the All Valley Under 18 Tournament and whoever loses should must hang up their gi. The episodes of Cobra Kai were released on 31 December 2021 on Netflix. This season is a continuation to their previous 3 seasons.

12. WandaVision

Wanda suffers a mental breakdown which results in death of her husband Vision, Hawkeye and some other people. So, to escape this reality Wanda creates an alternate reality where Vision and the twins named Thomas and Williams are alive where they all live together. WandaVision is produced by Marvel and was released exclusively on 15 January 2021 on Disney+.

13. Tandav

Tandav is an Indian Politics-based thriller which is about the dark story of Indian politics where people will go to any lengths and will cross every limit to pursuit the power. Tandav was released on 15 January 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. It has a total of 9 episodes. 

14. Bhaukaal

Bhaukaal is a crime-drama web series which is inspired by the IPS Officer Navneit Sekera, who single-handedly brought down the crime rates in Muzaffarnagar in the early 2000s. Its first season was released on 6 March 2020 and recently on 20 January 2022 the second season of this series had been released. This series has been exclusively released on MX Player. This series is based on how IPS Navneit Sekera fight against the high crime rates in Muzaffarnagar and brings them down at a very low rate.

15. What If...

What If is a comic book animated anthology series produced by Marvel which based on reimagining the noteworthy events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities. It tries to explore and unfold the key moments in the history of MCU which has not occurred in the mainstream continuity. The first episode was released on 11 August 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.

16. Invincible

Invincible is an animated fictional action series in which a 70-year-old Mark Greyson is just like every old guy of his age, except that is father is an Omni-man, the most powerful superhero on the planet. As Mark himself develops his own powers he realizes that his father’s legacy is not as heroic and exited as it seems. The first episode of this series was released on 25 March 2021 on Amazon Prime Video.

17. Scam 1992 : The Harshad Mehta Story

Scam 1992 is an Indian Crime-Thriller series which is based on the life of Harshad Mehta. How Harshad Mehta a middle-class guy becomes the Big Bull of stock market and takes the market to insane heights and how he became the reason for the stack markets catastrophic downfall in 1992. It is a great series where we can know about the Indian Stock Market in 1992. It was released on 9 October 2020 on Sony LIV. 

18. Pataal Lok

Pataal Lok is a fictional crime series in which a cynical inspector is tasked for the investigation of a high-profile case which eventually leads him to dark realm of the underworld. It was released on 15 May 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. It consists of total of 9 episodes.

19. Panchayat

Panchayat is a story of Abhishek an engineering graduate who is unable to find out a job that he wants so ends working in a village panchayat in an Indian remote village and deals with several challenges and solves the problems of the villages. Also, he prepares for CAT examination while working in the village panchayat as a secretary. This series released on 3 April 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

20. Asur : Welcome To Your Dark Side 

Asur is an Indian Crime-Thriller web series released on 2 March 2020 on Voot. Asur is set in the context of modern-day serial killer having religious ties. It is based in the mystical city of Varanasi where Asur follows Nikhil Nair, a forensic expert turned teacher who returns to his roots at the CBI, where he finds himself in a cat and mouse game with an insanely brutal serial killer.

21. Special Ops 1.5 : The Himmat Story

Special Ops 1.5 is an Indian Action-Thriller which was released on 12 November 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. The story of Special Ops 1.5 revolves around the origins of its eponymous protagonist long before he became a legend at Research and Analysis Wing, and long before he spread his team of handicapped sleeper agents across the world to bring down Ikhlaq khan, the secret terrorist behind the 2001 parliament bombing.

22. Ray

Ray was released on 25 June 2021 on Netflix. Its story revolves around different stories from satire to psychological thriller. It has four short stories from Filmmaker Satyajit Ray. It has four different stories namely Spotlight, Bahurupiya, Bhowmik-er Byaram and Bipin Chowdhary’s Smritibrom.
